Counseling for Children & Teens

During counseling sessions with children and teens, we strive to offer a safe, caring and confidential space to explore feelings, beliefs and behaviors. Sessions are usually focused on improving interpersonal relationships, communication and coping strategies, as well as regulating emotions and impulses. Working with minors means that coordination with an adult parent or caregiver is needed. This involvement differs depending on the client, their age and other factors, but typically treatment can involve individual, collateral and family sessions. We are also available to consult with school teachers, psychologists, doctors and psychiatrists. We have extensive experience working with young people to help them develop successful identities, reduce stress and find more successful ways to get their needs met. We are happy to assist you in this work.
